Why Mozilla rocks

Just say yes to Mozilla! Count me in as one of the proud single-digit percent who is using a browser other than IE at both home and work. I had originally done this just to avoid giving M$ the satisfaction, but now I'm just quite the happy camper.

When I first installed it, I wasn't so sure that the browser's tab functions would be that useful:

After using it for just a short time, though, tabs were quickly added to those categories of things I wonder how I lived without, like caller ID and electric locks and windows on my car :).

But what is really nice is this little feature:
preferences screen
Yes, Virginia. No more pop-ups!! If you click on a link for a pop-up, it'll appear, but no more dealing with websites that generate pop-ups in the same way that bunnies multiply!

I'm liking Netscape 7 quite a lot, too. Two gripes, though:
(1) In a form's text box, option-arrowing to the left moves the cursor a whole word (like it should). Option-arrowing to the right moves to the end of the word. Doing it again moves to the beginning of the next word. Twice the arrow-presses to go as far. Until you run into a non-alpha character (eg, punctuation), when the cursor goes no further.
(2) There needs to be a keyboard-shortcut for switching between tabs, like command-1 moves you between browser windows.

I think the short cut for moving between tabs is control-Page Up and control-Page down, on Windows at least.

I made a page for myself for whenever I need to install Mozilla, and a few friends have found it helped them get the settings right (by right, I mean efficient!):

I use the mouse gestures, which is what got them curious in the first place, but I've altered them quite a bit to work with Tabs better. So now they can just download the settings file and write over their own. (Backing them up first of course.)

Admitedly this isn't the most usable solution, but you only have to do it once per install.

I've also edited the main prefs file to make better use of tabs (now nothing spanws a new window!).

Does anyone else mess with the internal settings?
