IDblog ... an information design weblog

Bad to the bone

Ok, I admit it. Sometimes I'm just not a nice person. Here's what I provided the Washington Post when they insisted that I provide them info about me in order to read an article about the snipers:

Beth pretends to be an infant from Bosnia

But seriously. Do you tell websites all your personal info? If you aren't about to give them your credit card to buy something?

Comments

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I guess it depends on whether or not I think they have a real need to know my gender, zip, etc. "Improve our web site and provide ads that are more relevant to our audience"? Please. I think that counts as one of the sites that doesn't need to know my information.

Absolutely shouldn't tell......unless you want your in box to fill up with ads from people they sell your info to.
